Getting Started
Requirements
General Blender system requirements apply. Read about general Blender system requirements.
In short, if your system can run Blender, it can run PACKED Data Manager as well.
Blender
PACKED Data Manager is compatible with the following major Blender stable releases:
- 4.2 LTS
- 4.1
- 4.0
- 3.6 LTS
- 3.5
- 3.4
- 3.3 LTS
Download
Download PACKED Data Manager add-on from Blender Market. The downloaded add-on will be in a zip file format.
Install
Blender 4.2 and later
- Open Blender.
- Go to Edit>Preferences.
- Select Add-ons on the left.
- Click the down-facing arrow icon in the top right corner and select Install from Disk...
- Navigate to and select the PACKED Data Manager add-on zip file.
- Wait for the add-on to install.
Blender 4.1 and earlier
Follow these steps if you're installing PACKED Data Manager for the first time:
- Open Blender.
- Go to Edit>Preferences.
- Select Add-ons on the left.
- Click Install....
- Navigate to and select the PACKED Data Manager add-on zip file.
- Wait for the add-on to install.
- Enter PACKED Data Manager in the search bar.
- Tick the checkbox to enable the add-on.
Update
Follow these steps if you have an installed version of PACKED Data Manager and want to update it to the latest version:
- Uninstall the add-on by following the instructions in the Uninstall section.
- Restart Blender.
- Download and install a new version by following the instructions in the Download and Install sections, respectively.
Uninstall
If you wish to uninstall PACKED Data Manager, follow these steps:
- Open Blender.
- Go to Edit>Preferences.
- Select Add-ons on the left.
- Enter PACKED Data Manager in the search bar.
- Expand the add-on panel by clicking the triangle on the left.
- Click Remove.
