Quick Select
Quick Select feature allows you to select in the active view layer those objects which use, or are part of, a selected Data Type.
In this example, Quick Select feature allows us to select all objects in the active view layer that use each of the clicked materials.
Rules
Selecting objects with Quick Select adheres to the following rules:
- selects objects in the active view layer only.
- adds selected objects to the already selected object pool.
Options
You can modify the default behavior of Quick Select by holding one of the following buttons when clicking on the Quick Select icon:
- ALT/Option — unselect objects from the current selection.
Holding the ALT/Option key when clicking on Quick Select will unselect the chosen objects from the current selection.
- Shift — select only the chosen items and unselect already selected items.
Holding the SHIFT key when clicking on Quick Select will select only the chosen objects and unselect already selected objects.
